Okay. So in marketing we use a lot of
different tools to promote ourselves.
Whether it's personal selling or sales
publicity, all of these things are
intended to get our message across
to our audience whether that's consumers
or wholesalers and retailers whoever
we're trying to get a message across.
one thing that makes that work even
is if it all is consistent, if our
is going out in all these different ways
but it's the same message
and that's the key to what's called
integrated marketing communication.
You see the definition here is the
coordinated use of promotional tools
to create consistent messaging to a
range of target audiences.
The key word and all of that is
because if our messaging changes from
place to place or
from channel to channel or from audience
that's going to create confusion.
equals clear messaging and that's what
we want to shoot. For
if it's inconsistent like i said it's
going to be confusing it's going to
cause conflict in the mind of the
the listener or the the audience and
that's not good because conflict will
tend to make people turn away or or take
choose another option in other words.
So if we can be consistent and coordinate
all of our different communications
that can be a really powerful way to
strengthen our image.
And that's important for us as marketers
because we want people to have a good
firm understanding of who we are and
what we're all about.
That's the key to integrated marketing
