What is corporate Governance?
Basically, corporate governs refers to the rules, procedures, and actions taken to control and direct the corporation. Board of directors govern the corporation on behalf of the shareholders. In doing so, the board makes decision about authority and distributes rights and duties within the entity. Governance also includes the monitoring of the policies, procedures, and actions taken within the organization (particularly those of executives). A principle objective of governance procedures is to adhere to or maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
