What is Laissez-Faire Management?
In Laissez-Faire management, the manager grants lots of autonomy to the employee to make decisions and take actions consistent with their roles in the organization. It is deemed a “hands-off” approach to management.
Laissez-Faire managers generally provide guidance to employees when requested or where necessary. This allows the employee to exercise their own judgment and make decisions without approval or immediate oversight.
Laissez-faire approaches are known to have a strong motivation effect on employees who are low structure need and value autonomy.
